openssl don´t work

openssl don´t work was created by killa4u
Hello,

this is not a prob about your component, but i can´t even get openssl to work.

i just did all so as explained in cap. 12" installing openssl on xp" and i have the latest xp version with all updates installed.

when i go to the cmd.exe i always get an error that "openssl is not a program..."

i just did the definition in the enviroment variables:

USER:
;C:\Programme\GnuWin32\bin
named ....?????
SYSTEM:
C:\Programme\GnuWin32\share\openssl.cnf
named OPENSSL_CONF

Which name must i give in the User variable?

Append your PATH environment variable (My Computer  Properties  Advanced Tab  Environment Variables  User Variables) with ;C:\Program Files\GnuWin32\bin

Hi,

on the german XP there is no program files folder...

the programm is installed in
Programme-GnuWin32

and i also need a name for the variable otherwise XP doesn´t save it.

Shall i take a screenshot?

You need to edit your PATH system variable the way described in the document.
