I have been struggling through trying to test Authorize.net transactions, and figured out the solution when I talked to help team at Authorize.net. I thought I'd share those insights here.

I had CBSubs setup with an authorize.net payment gateway in the test mode, and my authorize.net account was in Test mode on that end. I kept getting an error 13, along with other errors when doing test transactions.

Turns out that I had to take the payment gateway out of test mode on the CBSubs side while leaving my Authorize.net account in the test mode on that side. Transactions clear cleanly now when testing.
