[SOLVED] Individually Access to Sub-Plans

14 years 3 months ago #120877 by tbream
I have a scenario where an individual has already decided to purchase a subscription to a web site, and that subscription has been configured to enable them to access the majority of features on the website.

I'd like to be able, on the basis of case by case review by administrators, decide to offer an additional subscription with additional features to selective individuals who are already members. For example, based on a member's specific professional background, they may be a good candidate for a set of special features while another member without that background may not - I'd like to be able to manually make the special features subscription available to a selective group on an individual basis.

Any suggestions on the best way to approach this?

Set a plan to only show when visiting the protected area or by way of URL then simply email/pm them the URL when you see fit. At this time that seams to be the best approach for such a scenario.

You could automate it using a delimiter field and based off their subscription reveal a delimiter field with a link to the advanced subscription using CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection. You could also email the link automatically using the email integration or emails on presentation tab.

I think that your initial thought in the first paragraph is the right way to handle this. Thanks for helping me think though this scenario.
