Proper Way To Manually Authorize Subscription

14 years 3 months ago #121606 by tbream
In addition to normal paid subscriptions, visible by a user when they logon to the front end, I have created a complimentary free subscription, visible only from the backend.

What is the proper way to activate this kind of free subscription visible only from the backend? I know I can go to user management, open a user record, go to the subscriptions tab, select the free subscription and then save the record. But when I do this, will the email for first activation be sent, or is that email only sent for subscriptions activated by the member though a payment process?

This is the proper way to assign a user a backend subscription.

Backend activated subscriptions will also activate their integrations so yes emails should/will send.
