no connections for basic plan was created by squiant
hi,
i want to know if it's possible to do this.
i have one basic plan in which the user should not be able to make connections see other profiles or his profile be seen (only by administrators). Similar to a blocked profile.
but users of a higher plan can make connections and see other users (also not basic users)
please give some advice

In order to limit connections to a specific plan you'll first need to protect the connections tab with the CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection plugin. Once done you'll need to use the CBSubs Content integration and on the Extensions integration tab of your plan you'll need to protect the following url with By URL Part.
option=com_comprofiler&act=connections&task=addConnection
This should limit connections to only that plan. May need tweaking of the protected URL of course or additional copies of the URL with slight changes (such as adding Itemid).

You'd then need to protect the same stuff as the lower plan with the higher plan as well in order to grant access to those subscribed to a higher plan.but users of a higher plan can make connections and see other users (also not basic users)

I have a similar requirement, albeit a bit simpler in scope.
I am simply looking to limit access to Connections features to subscribers of a higher level plan.
I get the two parts -

It doesn't appear to work. In fact, clicking on the Connections button beside the edit button on the profile shows a Manage Connections display that appears to override the configuration option.
Is there anyway to dynamically suppress the Connections button on the main profile page by using CBSubs?
