dropdown to select a group to join was created by wirtex
Hello,
I'm looking for a solution to accomplish the following:
To subscribe to a plan you fill in your userdata and you choose a group (Groupjive) from a dropdownbox. I want this new user automaticly become a member of this group.
I tried the following SQL action:
[code:1]INSERT INTO `jos_gj_users` (id_user, id_group, status) VALUES ([user_id], [group_id], 'active');[/code:1]
This is not working. How do I get the selected value in de selectbox and put that one into the SQL query?
Any help much appreciated!

The drop-down needs to be a cb field (e.g. cb_group_id) or it won't pass through substitutions. Easily accomplish-able by creating a new field type that is a drop-down list of GJ groups. Examine cb.core.php on how to create such a plugin.
