CB Email autoaction

I have noticed a substitution error in the code autoaction :
$act = '57';
$activator = '[cb:userdata field="firstname" user="' . $act . '" /]';
echo $activator;
does not display anything while
$activator = '[cb:userdata field="firstname" user="57" /]';
echo $activator;
displays fine.

Do I miss something or is it a bug somewhere

Substitutions are parsed before the PHP is. So your first code block of course cannot work. See the below on how to use CBs API to get field values.

If the auto action has already built your user object you can just use $user->get( 'FIELD_NAME' ) otherwise you need to build a user object for whatever user id you like using the below then call get.
