Problem with Login Layout in Horizontal mode

14 years 10 months ago #99807 by joomzoom1
Can someone guide me how to format the horizontal layout of the Login Module.

I can set mod_cblogin to vertical or horizontal easily enough but neither mode suits my layout.

Horizontal is the closest but the lines Username, Password, Remember me,etc. either don't line up properly (e.g. input boxes are not vertically in line) or display in a line or wrap (depending on whether i have set my CSS to display: inline and the width of the div). See attached image.

How can I force line breaks between certain elements?

For example, I would want:
Line 1 to have: Username and Password
Line 2 to have: Remember me
Line 3 to have: Login
Line 4 to have: Forgot login?
Line 5 to have: No account yet? Register

Related to this is where can I change the above text labels (e.g. to change 'Forgot login' to 'Forgot Username or Password').

Thx

Using Firebug or Web Developer extensions for Firefox you'll be able to inspect the elements of the module. This will reveal the class names. From there you may modify existing CSS of the classes or add new additions to the class at the bottom of your templates CSS file.

Thx for replying krileon. I knew how to look up the classes w Firebug but not how to force the line breaks as I was asking. I'll keep looking for a solution.

If you can help, I'm still looking for the answer to the last part of my question:

"Where can I change the text labels e.g. to change 'Forgot login' to 'Forgot Username or Password')".

Which file stores those text labels (variables are passed between multiple files ... I can't figure out the source or which to edit)?

Thx

OK, in case it helps others with the same question:

The text labels for the Login and Registration (and likely other CB forms) are located in:

components/com_comrofiler/plugin/default_language/default_language.php
