We need the capability of CB's extended profile features but do not need the community features. Can we install CB and disable the other parts and just use the extended profile?

I have CB but it is currently not installed on any sites. I have a site that needs the extended profile feature, but it is running JomSocial. I'm just worried that CB might take over the home page and/or conflict with JomSocial.

Don't know what you mean by extended profile feature, but no profiles can't be disabled as they're a part of CB (could you please clarify this further?). I can't comment on its functionality or integration with JomSocial as I've never used it, sorry.
