I've installed Groupjive and configured in the admin as per the readme, including creating a category, but I can't see anywhere where a user can create a group, join a group etc.
Am I missing something here? Do I need to add extra modules to get this visible at the front-end?

You need to ensure you've set GJ configuration to allow group creation. Then go to frontend with a user, click a category, then just below search box is link to create a group.

I've got the settings as you describe but I'm still not seeing the option to create a group, or the option to click on a category that you've mentioned.
