[SOLVED] Login redirect was created by frenchy75
Hi,

When using the standard Jomla login module, if a user follow a link to a private page (by exemple sent in a newsletter), it will be asked to login and then redirect to the page.
Using CB login module, he will stay at the home page or be redirected to the login redirect page but not the original url... Is there a work around?

Thanks for helping, I need that for my newsletters!!

Please check your login redirect URL for CB Login module and set it as # this should cause a redirect to previous page if the previous page is not a access restricted page (CB doesn't return 2+ URLS back).

Unfortunately, this is exactly what I want to do: members get an email with a url to a restricted page, they click on the url, arrive at the login requested page, login and are redirected to the restricted url sent in the email.
It works in Joomla standard but no longer if I use CB

Any other idea???

THANKS!

Sorry, don't know what to advise. CB can not redirect to the restricted content in the same manner as Joomla. Joomla is capable of this because the restricted page is part of Joomlas core. Wherein is not part of CBs; thus CB can't detect what page is actually restricted. I suppose you could develop a new CB plugin which does a JS fired history.back(-1);.

Hi,

I am not sure I follow your explanation... Com_profiler does have a return url fonction, why not do the same that com_user which through controller.php send a redirect to the url that was stock in base64 format before. I don't see anything that require core functionalities... The url might go to a restricted page but then either the user has access or nor and that handle normally, nothing to do with CB... What am I missing?

Thanks

CB DOES feature a return URL function, but it can't return 2 URLS back. It only returns to the last know location of the user. The code for return URLs is within CB login modules core. You're welcome to make edits and suggestions to the core (CB is an OpenSource project).
