[SOLVED] Membership number - auto increase was created by mwink
Hi,
I use CB to add user profile fields. I would like to add a field "membership number" that is generated automatically and increases with each new member (so each member has an unique number).
Is this possible ?

Each user already has a unique number. It's user_id and can be displayed using a delimiter field with the substitution [user_id]. Otherwise you'll need to create a new fieldtype plugin to allow creation of such a field.

Hi I was wondering is there then a way of changing the username to this type, using the userid and make it read only?
The Idea being I would like users to login using an auto generated username as it will relate to a printed card with a membership number on it and we would like people to have refer to their card to log in?
