Hi, I need to check a VAT-number field. Wich type of field do I use and how do I check this? The VAT Number contains 10 digits..

Suppose you could use an Integer field as long as you don't need leading zeros. Otherwise you could use a text field with validation set to Custom PERL Expression then using
REGEX
to validate. Not sure what you mean by checking it. If you need it checked against a database or something of the sort you'd need to develop a new plugin to do that.
