[SOLVED] Hide a field in the user profile

13 years 7 months ago #141587 by rocon001
I want to have a field that is editable from the back-end but it's invisible to the end-user from the front-end when he edit his own profile.

I set the field to:
- not required
- not in profile
- not in registration
- not searchable
- published

but still, if the user log into the front-end he can see this field.

What can I do?
Isn't this a bug? I think with the flag "non in profile" it should not be visible to end-user.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion!

No, its not a bug.

Not on profile means that it will not be shown on a user profile to other members.

If you want the field not to appear at all to even profile owner in edit mode, you can place it on a tab that has been published to admin user group.
