Single checkbox NOT selected by default was created by saraheagle
Is it possible to have a single checkbox NOT selected by default?
For example I am adding a bit of extra code so that when a user ticks this box it also sends an email to the website admin. I dont want this to happen everytime a user updates their details. Only when the checkbox is checked.

That would mean it would have to not be stored in the database, but still be in the POST. You could using a delimiter field write an HTML input. Beyond that no, as the users selection will store in database and when editing their profile will reflect this.Is it possible to have a single checkbox NOT selected by default?
