[SOLVED] CB FBC Connect not working - cache issue

I have installed the Facebook connect latest version of the plugin and all my CB Subs and others items are all up to date. I don't have caching enabled at the system level but yet somewhere something is caching the pages.

The only way the the FB login will work is if I first clear the cache and click login in to FB link. Then when the page refreshes it will show the additional items like "User Menu". If I do not clear the cache first on page refresh after FB dialog window pops up the registered items will not show.

If I use the local CB login and users it works fine. I don't have any sort of cache issues. Somewhere in Joomla in a module it is still caching items although I told it not to cache. It appears to be in the Page or Template as that is where the issue lies but still, I would have thought the authentication would not have affected this.

Suggestions?

I found a solution. Turn off the System - Cache in the Global Plugin Manager. Not sure why that is the case but it does need to be disabled for CB FBC to work.

All caching must be disabled (except server side). FBC works in real-time, caching will cause it to fail.

Just see this topic, i want to buy this module but if he need "no cache" it's impossible for me and for lot of user who have a normal website, it's only usable for small website!

It would be honest to report such default in the module description to warn buyer.

And i understand now why you don't use it in your website !

You can use caching, but it needs to be a low reasonable cache time. A cache time of 3 minutes is reasonable and perfectly fine to use with FBC. Anything longer on a site with dynamic content isn't going to work as dynamic content relies on constant updates. It works fine on large sites. We don't use it here, because we don't need or want it here. When we upgrade JP again we will probably use it.

My above post was over 2 years ago.. it has absolutely no influence on current release, which is 100% redesigned.
