You can use the CBSubs CB Field integration plugin to do this.

First configure your CB Gallery tab (backend CB Tab manager area) to:

Gallery Automatically Enabled: No
Allow User to Enable: No

Than configure your paid plan to set CB Field _pg_EnableProfileGallery to 1 in plan CB Field integration tab. This will do the trick.

BTW - it is mention in CBSubs documentation in Use Cases area (Things you can do ...)

Other part or question (users that pay can only see other galleries) can be configured with CB Tabs/Fields protection integration plugin (also chapter on documentation about this).

you have automatically turned off Gallery for everyone and need to manually visit each persons profile from backend and manually modify the

Enable Gallery: field (_pg_EnableProfileGallery) to enable each users gallery one-by-one.

My instructions would regarding the CBSubs integration steps would configure CBSubs to automatically do this for you when a new membership subscription starts.

Existing subscribers are not affected.
