[SOLVED] Conflicting functions - observation

HI Guys

I'm loving CB Subs - thanks for a great program!

One interesting issue which I have come up against only since I installed CB Subs is the matter of duplicate functions.

For example, this morning my JCal Pro admins were unable to add new events and I figured out that you had written a new "unhtmlentities" in comprofiler.class.php with the interesting comment at line 1579 of:

[code:1] /**
* Convert HTML entities to plaintext
* Rewritten in CB to use CB's own version of html_entity_decode where innexistant or buggy in < joomla 1.5
*/[/code:1]

The function "unhtmlentities" is also declared in JCal Pro's admin_events.php at line 179 which then cause the crash.

For enyone else who may have a similar issue, I simply changed the JCal Pro function to "dehtmlentities" and that solved the issue.

I also had similar conflict issues with some of the other add-ins (can't remember which ones now.)

Cheers

Cliff

We're working to rename functions as necessary, but it has to be progressive and we have to add code to ensure backwards compatibility is maintained. We can not simply rename dozens of functions then release, lol. Also this is not CBSubs related, thread moved. Thanks for providing your solution.
