I'm using Joomla! 1.5.15 & CB v 1.2.2

GOAL: I want my users to be able to create an account automatically WITHOUT administrative approval. I DO want an email activation/confirmation step via email.

PROBLEM: New users can register but do not receive the activation email. I can see their names in the backend (under USER MANAGEMENT tab). The GROUP column reads "registered", the APPROVED column has a green check mark but the ENABLED and CONFIRMED columns contain a red "X".

If I manually ENABLE the account, the user can request another email activation by logging into my site again, but I want new users to complete registration without my (the administrator's) approval.

My current settings: Under CONFIGURATION/REGISTRATION/ALLOW USER REGISTRATION it reads <same as global 'allow registration' site setting>

Under CONFIGURATION/MODERATION/MODERATOR APPROVES USSERS it reads <no>

I have researched the solution to this problem for 1.5 hours in the FAQs section and in your forum and found related problems, but no solution - please direct me to the answer if it already exists.

Please update to CB 1.2.3 - after all you are posting in the CB 1.2.3 area.

I do not encounter any similar problem in all my tests.
