sorry, I think we're at cross purposes here; my set-up means that users who are not logged-on cannot access profiles at all; this is why they see the registration page if they click the links in the email; I notice that an email from Kunena has the message 'Log on and then click the links'; something like that would help, but once a user is logged on they can go directly to their 'manage connections' options anyway, so it would be redundant to go back to the email and click the link; I think we'll leave it at that. thanks krileon; I agree that changing the code in CB needs careful management; I keep 'safe' copies of the originals, and maintain a list of the files I've edited
