accessrights to personal info

accessrights to personal info was created by JosB

I've got a question, is it possible to make certain fields always accessable to the owner and other registered users with a higher accesslevel.

So the owner is a registered user (as most of the users of our website) and some are publishers.

I want for example the city, zipcode etc. only visible to the owner and to users with an accesslevel equal or higher than 'publisher'.

Best I can suggest is set the fields on a tab that's in a not shown on profile position then use substitutions in a delimiter field on a visible tab to render the contents of your fields. You'd then be able to use complex IF substitutions to determine who can see the contents. Please see tutorials within my signature for further substitution details.

Wowww... ok, i will have a look.

As a quick solution i've installed Cb Privacy plugin so that users have an option to make info visible (or not). By default all the info is visible (it would be nice if this was adjustable)

This is also an acceptable solution. I believe latest release allows setting a default privacy for fields.
