Yes, that's intended. It won't store an introtext at all for that blog entry based off your configuration. At this time it has no functionality to utilize a readmore break. So if you want introtext you'll need to be sure it's configured to display that. Added a feature ticket to basically scrap the introtext/fulltext parameter usage and to just handle it automatically with readmore.

Option intro/full parameter is useful in my opinion but for the site I'm building it is not wanted. I just think that option full text shouldn't have readmore at all.

If you don't want readmore at all then use Intro Only. Have adjusted the feature ticket to add a new mode instead of removing that parameter. New mode would mimic Joomla article create and only readmore with a readmore break added to the post.

That is a work-around. But it works for now. Doesn't make sense to me, but hope it will be better after you've made the changes.
