I am currently working on a site where users use a registration form to signup. I need to have a banner (like the system notification) when they are missing required fields. The boxes turn red, but I'm using Profile Pro tabs. If they are on another tab and click SignUp, I need a more visible notification that fields are missing.

You'll need to ask the developer of CB Profile Pro regarding that. They're replacing the entire registration output and would have to implement that themselves. CB it self already supports Tab and Step by Step registration layouts, which you can configure in CB > Configuration > Registration but I've no idea if it'll work with CB Profile Pro.
