Now the field disappears when you enter text. Set in edit mode if the field is empty, it shows the field. The first sign in the field hides it.
Two other fields with the same conditions are shown whether they are filled in or not. Text input is blocked in both fields.

The below should work to allow self condition without jQuery interfering.
Display: Field conditional show
Field: Custom > Value
Value: [FIELD_NAME]
Translate Custom Value: No
Operator: Empty
Location
Registration: No
Profile Edit: Yes
Profile View: No
Userlists Search: No
Userlists View: No
Be sure you've disabled value resetting in CB Conditional or this won't work. Replace FIELD_NAME with the actual name of your field.

Don't use the Empty operator. See my reply above as you need to use a static condition to avoid the jQuery from acting.
