searching bootstrap.css of default template

3 years 6 months ago #321061 by timstohr
Hi Kyle,
I am searching the bootstrap.css from the default profile of communitybuilder Home com_comprofiler/plugin/templates/default/bootstrap.css

I have tried downloading CB again and then unpacking manually but I did not find it.

Kind regards,

Tim

It should be at the below location.

/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/templates/default/bootstrap.css

If you're looking for what CSS classes to use I suggest using the Bootstrap documentation below.

getbootstrap.com/

Hi actually that is not what I was looking for. I think a Freelancer has changed the default template quite majorly, notably the bootstrap.css. Since I am cleaning up the s**** done by the freelancer, I wanted to check if the guy has changed the default template (notably bootstrap.css). Therefore I would like to see the standard one and compare it to mine so that I can find all the errors the guy did.

I do not have a versioning control system (yet) so I need to do everything by hand.

Would be great if you could either upload me a standard bootstrap.css or tell me where I can find it in the CB package.

Ok, in that case download latest CB and unzip the package. Next navigate to /extensions/packages and unzip the file there. That's CBs actually Joomla package zip file. In that you'll need to unzip com_comprofiler.zip in /packages then navigate to /admin and unzip the tgz tar pluginsfiles since the default template is just a plugin. Inside that you'll find the default template files in /templates/default.

Installing CB overtop of itself would wipe out any core modifications that were made though. Next run the Canvas Layout tool in CB > Tools to blanket replace whatever layout structure they customized with default canvas layout like a fresh CB install. That'd be my recommended approach at least to start over.
