Problem with GroupJive - Function Invite goes to create a new group

Hello,

1. i have a problem with GroupJive. If i go to the landing page of a group (grouptype Invite) and click the tab Invitition and press the button "Invite" it shows me the function to create a new group. I only want to start an invitation. What went wrong?

2. Is it possible that only the members of a group can see the activities of there own group and not all other registered users?

Thank you for your help.

P.S.: i use the newest version of Joomla, GroupJive and CB from today.

Probably an issue with the SEF routing. Do you have a general all purpose menu item to GJs All Categories or All Groups page? If not I recommend creating one so it can be used for the top level SEF routing. Turn off URL Rewriting in Joomla global configuration then retry and see what the Itemid is in the URL after clicking the Create Invite button to see what Joomla menu item it's trying to use.

Yes, set the group type to invite.

I have made a menue item with all categories. If i start it in the front end and navigate to the chat group, the invitation function works. But if i use the direct menue item to a specific chat group it has the same problem as described. It makes no difference to switch the redirection ON or OFF. What can i do, to use a direct chat group, which works with invitation?

Disable SEO entirely and see if your issue persists. This will let us know if there's a potential bug in GJ or just the routing code.
