When the password is restored, it sends an email with a new password. Is there an option to send a recovery link?

No, not at this time. We will be getting rid of our login module and separate login process with CB 3.x as we'll just use and extend Joomlas. This also means you'd be able to just use Joomlas password recovery link feature.
