Row size too large

I have had the database collations and comprofiler tables changed to utf8mb4_unicode_ci
but I still get the error when saving a field?
Row size too large. The maximum row size for the used table type, not counting BLOBs, is 8126. This includes storage overhead, check the manual. You have to change some columns to TEXT or BLOBs
Could you explain in detail how do I change columns to TEXT or BLOBs? Will this fix the problem?
I really need this to work?

Sounds like you've hit your limits for your database. There isn't a workaround for this at this time beyond delete some fields. I suggest evaluating if you really need 229 fields. We won't be able to offer a permanent fix for this until CB 3.x when we've redesigned field storage behavior. I don't have any further suggestions beyond what's already been said on these forums (search the forums with: Row size too large).
