[SOLVED] Users unable to access tabs on profile

I don't know when it happened, but my users now can't access the tabs on their profiles to edit them. I can get to the edit profile through a menu link, but if I just open the profile to view (as a user), the edit button (and the connections button) don't do anything. If I access the profile through the menu link, I can update the info on the first tab, but can't switch to another tab. The Update button works, but the Cancel button doesn't.

I haven't messed with the permissions in quite awhile and this issue is just recently being reported.

Any guidance on how to proceed is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like entirely a JavaScript issue. you've a fatal JS error on the page breaking the other JS. Switch to default Joomla protostar template, clear Joomla cache, then retry as it's often JS coming from the template that causes it.
