check your joomla language xml file and look for the name tag.

here is the name tag, doesn't look like to be that!

Suggest you edit this file and in the first tag put

<name>Brazilian</name>

The first tag should really not have utf8 or parenthesis in it.

Estou usando o joomla 2.5 e cbsubs e gostaria de efetuar a tradução. Seu arquivo ainda é válido? esta funcionando? nos ajude aí.
