We have a beta of an advanced CB search component that includes the ability to search based on location and search radius. It is built on the same code we created for our Mosets Tree search which is installed on over 300 sites.

We developed it as a component so it doesn't have to modify CB and can be used as a front page for a site. It also has modules that can be used to initiate the search and feed into the component.

We need experienced Community Builder site admins who are interested in testing this component thoroughly and giving us feedback.

Basically you will create two fields for latitude and longitude under CB, click a button on our component, and it will geocode all your users based on address, city, postal code or any combination of the above.

It will be a commercial product but the time-limited beta will be free-of-charge. We will probably offer some type of discount incentive for those customers that help us test it.

It uses the same type of interface so it should give you a pretty good idea of how we are implementing the CB search.
