[#2456] Error msg - Event date can not be set in the past!

I was hoping the Bug Report held details of the fix so that we might be able to apply the fix while waiting for the point release. Any chance of that happening?

Not all fixes are simple, I've implemented an entirely new API function to handle this bug. So no quick fix will be provided. Suggest disabling events integration until next release (by end of this week I hope).

I uninstalled the Events plug in that came with the GJ2.1 package and installed the one that comes with the GJ2.0 package (found on Joomlapolis -> downloads -> free downloads -> (old files). This has solved the "Event date can not be set in the past!" error for me. I hope this helps others in the mean time.

Hi All,

I still get this error after installing the latest version (2.2):

Event failed to save! Error: Event date can not be set in the past!

The date I made for the event is June 20, 2011.

Please ensure you upgraded the event integration to 2.2. This is very important, you can not just upgrade GJ and expect the integrations to upgrade as well. You can check what version the integrations are from the Integrations icon in GJ backend. I could not duplicate your issue with the exact date you provided, please ensure you're including a Time.
