Helping hand from developers to a newbe? Fields

15 years 2 weeks ago #91540 by sonix10
Hi
It's my third day  where I'm trying to find out how to pass a variable say $var_integer created in a plug in (tab) to a cb field which is then showed in user status area?

The field is created by the plug in with xml and I moved it to the status area. The question is how to populate the variable into the field? The value is taken from SQL query from outside cb.

If someone of the experienced plug in developers could just post a code example it would probably help many new guys. The tab plug in it self is clear, but the fields are hard.

I have checked the old dev. doc. and other plugins but I still don't get it.

Thanks in advance for your time :)

Look at cb.core.php that's pretty much all that file contains is fields. You'll have an example of every field type in it. (it's in CBs plugin folder ;) )
