It's neither Joomla nor uddeIM, it's Joomlaboard. You have to activate PMS integration in Joomlaboard's backend and then hack Joomlaboard as described in the first posting.

If you mean "Enable private messaging > Yes" ...

well, i don't see the "appropriate private messaging component" (which is uddeIM). There are myPMS II Open Source and myPMS Professional. If I slect "open source" I can see the PM button under messages, but when I click it, i am taken to a new page which says " The page you are trying to access does not exist".

That's why I suggested you apply the hack described in the first posting in this forum ("Integration with Joomlaboard")
