HTML Location question

HTML Location question was created by k9ctu
I have searched and googled this but come up with no answers as the answers I get all refer to HTML placement.

Both Google and Bing want me to place HTML code in the header of my page for page ranking and other information besides normal meta tags and such.
I cannot find the file to put it in (HTML). Nor can my programmer (we are both brand new with Joomla which doesn't help).
Location and name would help. Please.

J 2.5.6
CB 1.8.1
CBSUBS 2.0.2
GJ 2.5.2

Are you wanting to just put it on CB profile page? All pages of your site? GJ? Profile edit? Please be more specific where you want the HTML tracking code placed and can best suggest a solution. If on all pages then most likely one of the many Google extensions found below should be sufficient.

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-management/analytics/site-analytics-google-based

More non-Google based extensions below.

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-management/analytics

For Bing I believe you need cloud based tracking, which is found below.

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-management/analytics/site-analytics-cloud-based

I don't have a specific extension recommendation however. You'd need to review which will best fit your needs.

Just on the "Home" page, sorry I wasn't specific.
Bing wants an XML code added to the home page to show ownership.
Google wants HTML in the header, like Bing, of the home page.

I see, you probably want to just go ahead and add it to your templates index file so it loads on all pages in the header. This can be done by editing your template from the below location

templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/index.php

Alternative is to review the likes provided in previous reply and implement what you're wanting by using a Joomla extension. CB it self doesn't have anything to provide this.
