I don't know what i've done or not done but my usergroup field is not showing on my user profiles. In the contact info tab on other sites i can edit and view user groups, but this site i cannot. I am sure it's something simple that i've missed or messed up. What should i check?

The usergroup field is an internal backend field. It does not display on frontend. It's typically not a good idea to expose to the public a users permission level. Usergroup field can only be edited from backend unless you use something like CB Auto Actions acting on a field value change to alter their usergroup.

Sorry, i don't mean in the front end, I
mean in community builder manage users in back end. I can't change usergroups there, not sure if it's a missing tab or something, but on my other accounts using cb i can change user group on the contact info tab.
Strange, the usergroup field is a part of the params field in CB > Field Management; ensure it hasn't been conditioned by CB Conditional or CB Privacy. Is your user a super user editing another super user or just regular registered users? Is the user you're editing synchronized? Try running User Synchronization within CB > Tools then retry editing them.
