I can review adding some sort of error output for it in the future so users can know why it failed to get their location, but beyond that there's nothing more I can suggest as we're using browser standard API. We've no plans to be using native APIs.

There is no need to use native API, even on the web app the edit page does display the warning asking permission to get user location, so the request seems to work.

It's just as if there were no result back or no results pasted in the field.

I looked at firebug but don't have any returns neither

We're only responding to the success call of the function. It can fail, but we don't handle the fail output. Will be reviewing this further as part of that ticket and convey more information to the user as it maybe failing for some reason, but since we don't output that they'll never know why.
