Disable/Modify "Send Email" Option Under "Connections" Tab

Under the default system tab named "Connections", where all a user's connections are listed in a grid, there is a button/link labelled "Send Email".

I have CB Privacy > Display > "Forced Privacy" and set the default to "Private" on both the "Email - Email address (main)" and the "cb_details_email - Custom HTML" fields.

Yet this button still appears under each connection. Where is the email being pulled from? And how can I eliminate that button/link?

I checked CB Config, and CB Connections Plugin.

Ideally, I'd like a users email to be private. And if users connect they would have to visit a profile where they will see other forms of communication provided by each user (e.g. a secondary email or external messenger etc.). I know that if I enable Private Messaging a second button also appears. But how do I securely disable this email link/button (aside from hiding it via CSS).

If you don't want that functionality at all then set "Email Handling" in CB > Configuration > General to "Do Not Display Email". That should completely disable that functionality.

Additionally CB Privacy should be protecting the email form if using the email form. So clicking the button should result in a "You do not have permission to email this user." message if the user doesn't have permission to email them. Unfortunately there isn't a way for CB Privacy to hide the button at this time.
