Ok, I've fixed that bug in CB Package Builder and we'll have it live on JP either today or this weekend. I've also implemented support for update, version check, and download "channel". This will allow us to add a parameter to CB where you can select Stable for the channel and you'll only ever be notified of stable releases and will also apply to install from web. That likely won't be available until next week though.

Latest CB build release has now implemented a Update Chanel parameter in CB > Configuration > Integrations. It's set to "Default" by default which is current behavior of Stable + Build releases. You can now change this to Stable. This will cause the version checker AND install from web only reporting back stable releases (unless a stable release is not available then first available build will return). Note you may need to clear your Joomla cache since we do cache this on your Joomla install as well.
