Urgent- User Registration notification email

13 years 1 month ago #23430 by butterfly
I updated CB to recent version on 10/17 and today I noticed that I havent been getting any User Registration notification. THats when a new user registers with the site and the site admin receives an email.

Its very important that I receive these emails as I track each individual and enter them into a mass mailer database.

Could someone please advise how I can fix this? Am i missing something in the config file?

You should make sure you've done exactly what the READ ME that was included said.

A common mistake made is this:
It's very important that you restore your ue_config.php file to the one you've backed up earlier.
That includes all the settings you gave in your previeus versions.

Actually i didnt followed the read me file. I tested the upgrade on my testing site...everything seemed fine from there so then i uploaded it to the live website.

Now the question remains... New User Registration notification email to admin function is not set up in the recent version of CB? If yes, how and where can I enable it?

Thanks for any help in advance

To the best of my knowledge, it's set in the configuration fields in the registration tab, Registration Email address / Registration Reply-to email address.

Set those and see if the email starts flowing again.

This is hwo my config is set up

$ueConfig='User Registration';
$ueConfig='Your Registration is Pending Approval';
$ueConfig='Greetings [NAME],[/code:1]

I have set both addresses up in the Registration tab from the the time I upgraded to the new version of CB. I am sure its something else that is missing in the new version.

Has anyone know how to get this fixed. As I have said in my original post that it is important for me and a few other members who monitor the website to get a new user registration e-mail.

We have to know who has signed up to the site.
