Hello everybody

I have had a look in the forum for searching my question but I wasn't able to find it.

I've already setup some website using Joomla! and now comes the trick part. Simply, I would setup a website where some user groups exists and some user belong to each group.

My concern is to how to "isolate" a user form group 1 from other group and vice versa.
In other words allow the user to post news and upload files belonging to his group only without affecting others groups or, worst case, deleting or modifying others user stuffs ...
The contents (all the contents) should be visible from all the groups or even users.

I've tried to setup a group category and 3 groups belonging to this category. Then set up few users, belonging on each group.
The user from group 1 can modify items posted from user from group 2 ...

I've used the components Groupjive
It allows the creation of group categories, then groups and finally the members ...

So ... there is no way to perform what I would to do, i.e. isolate the groups on managment side.

No workaround neither special extensions ?

I'm having a similar issue

I would like to allow one user group viewing a certain section of my website,
no problem, I've setup the menu item to be visible only to registered users,

Now how do I go about adding another user group that won't be able to view the same section as the first one but will be able to see another section not viewable by the first group.

Hope you get more or less what I mean.

Hope that anyone knows a plugin/extension or maybe an option in Community Builder that could solve my problem
