I tried this fix in the joomla index.php but all I saw was @ini_set('memory_limit', '16M'); at the top of the same black page. What did I do wrong? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thnx

Ok I tried again, this time inserting @ini_set('memory_limit', '16M'); a little further down at line 13. It worked! Thanks for this fix and I too hope this helps others.
