i can confirm that the buttons (delete, unpublish, edit) are available when you are using Firefox 2/3.

however when your browser is not FF like Internet Explorer 7, the buttons are not visible. what you'll see is an empty space below every photo uploaded in the profile gallery with no links or traces for the said buttons.
