Ok Found the problem,
I did change the template and the problem persisted, I then went to the CB / User Management / and went to the Profile Gallery tab for each user, all the fields were empty, I then register myself as a new user and the lightbox worked perfectly.
I change the option to Display for some users and now they all have the lightbox.
My doubt now is how do I apply these settings back to all other users without having to go one by one.
I thought that wound be taken care of by going on CB / Tab Management and choosing the proper display option but that didn't work even after I used CB / Tools / Sync users database.
