Profile subpages?

Profile subpages? was created by theincometeam
I am looking to add subpages to the user profiles, while keeping the relationship to the parent profile.

Example: (currently using sh404SEF 1.3.8)

www.mydomain.com/joesprofile is the user profile

I would like to make pages like:
www.mydomain.com/joesprofile/splash1

I only want to make 1 splash1 page that is common to all profiles.
I need splash1 to know what profile it is being viewed under so the user variables can be used on that page.

Any hints on doing something like this?

Note:

I know that I can just make a page somewhere else and use something like ?ref=joe , but I want to make this SE freindly.

Some custom programming of a plugin or component would be needed.

It is a cool idea really.

CB/Joomla golf site: www.thegolfspace.com
Geek/joomla site: www.tkserver.com

Check out my Joomla/CB projects:

* LIKE thumbs up system for "liking" content items
* Karma - CB user rating system
* Golf Score Tracker
* Jitter - status update system. "What's on your mind?"
* CB Author Plug - Shows CB author link and avatar in content items. J1.5 compatible and very customizable!

Found on my web site or in the Joomlapolis Directory !

I am thinking that I can do the urls with htaccess.

Then I can read the cb user out of the URL requested.

I am not sure if I can narrow this down to just profile pages.

I want:
www.mydomain.com/joe/splash1
and to be able to use joe's variables.

I may also end up with:
www.mydomain.com/Recent-Articles/splash1
and
www.mydomain.com/Forum/splash1

I will find out, right?

Exactly. I was going to mention .htaccess. That has to be set up for your username in the url. I have that setup on my sites.

Are you in love with the URL idea because you could probably set everything up in one page with one CB position and just have giant tabs for the pages?

I am not following.

Does CB support multiple profile pages per user now?

I need this page to be seperate from the user profile.

Also, the page is not for the member, it is for the visitor, who may not be logged in at all.

OK, here is the ultimate goal:

I have set my site up with a referral system.
All members are to be registered under another member.

This work fine, but is not too clear for the visitor.

They either get reffered to the profile and hope to see the signup link:
www.theincometeam.com/steven/

Or they get refered directly to the registration page, but I lose the referral info if they look around before registering.
www.theincometeam.com/reg.php?ref=steven
which is redirecting to
www.theincometeam.com/Your-Profile/Create-an-account.html?referraluser=steven

I also use info from the database to make splash pages for the users, like
freebieforce.theincometeam.com/index.php?ref=incometeam

My goal here is to make freebieforce.theincometeam.com/index.php?ref=incometeam
into
www.theincometeam.com/steven/freebieforce
