work around for 404 register redirect Bug -

16 years 1 month ago #58051 by zchoose
[found the work around - see the bottom of the page]

When I hit "register" or logout, I get a 404 error because it's trying to access:

www.mysite.com/component/comprofiler/?task=registers

Is this right??? The "component" part of the path is missing the "s"....

Even when I manually enter the "s", I still get a 404.

The "components" directory is part of Joomla. Not sure how I could have changed that.

Is there a simple way to fix this?

[WORK AROUND]
The problem seems to live in line 565 of mod_cblogin.php. If you turn off 1.5 SEF, you go to the right place with the login. There's a work around for logging out on line 81, but it was a 1.5rc1 hack".

Turning of SEF also helps the logout process.

BTW - I am in legacy mode.

I get the same behavior. ON my site I get the error when hitting login, or logout.
It only occur son the second time. First time to login, logout works fine.
It also works again if I clear the cookies and cache in my browser. I don't think it has to do with the "s" because the initial login uses the same url, without the s, and it works fine.

Anyone have a suggestion?

I'm also having the same problem with J 1.5.8 and CB 1.1. I've been searching for a solution for awhile but haven't found one, (the search in this forum is a little too basic for a forum this large).
