Yes....I am a five year old in a physics class. Yes, my site is coming together nicely, linux, joomla 1.5.8, apache, mysql- looks great- my temporary social network is exploding. And I am humbly swallowing my pride and saying......um? do i inzip and ftp to my server in my hosting account and install this into my joomla database, or do i create another one? oh, i paid for the manual and i am reading it. Cant say I am comprehending, but I swear....I can be taught. - just to prove i do sort of know what I am doing once I get the software operational. Its the getting started before you to get to getting started that has me spinning in circles. So....I humbly ask....will anyone please have pity on this lowly computer moron, and explain the birds and the bees to her? Seriously. I need more than a read me file. Please Help!

use the extensions > install/uninstall > upload package directory > browse to com_comprofiler.zip from Joomla's backend. Be sure to install the modules too. Oh, and before that, be sure to unzip the installation zip file that you downloaded from here.

owh.. um.. actually this is more of a 'Joomla thing' rather than a 'CB thing' . Have fun:)

i was coming back in here to dlete the post before someone saw how stupid I was. I figured it out and have it up and running great- just wasnt firing on all cylinders for some reason- stuck in a blonde moment
