After upgrading to 1.2 running Joomla! 1.0.15 Stable and OpenSEF (I know I know - upgrade this component as soon as possible!)

This has stopped the error, although it does have an issue of cropping up again and again. I believe implementing privacy policies also helps. Removing OpenSEF would be great too!

Mike - have you found any solutions to this issue? I am having the exact same issue and have had no luck in getting an answer. I've searched and posted to both the joomla and cb forums, but to no avail.

I did see a post from Beat, the cb developer, about a "known bug" in Joomla, but that does not seem to be the case.

Please let me know as this is quite an annoying issue.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, changing the 'session authentication method' to 2 from 3 (Global Configuration -> Server tab) worked for the user that was having problems. I've not had anyone report the error since.

Our session authentication is set to three and still getting the session expired cookie message. May have to go back to 1.2 RC 2 if this endures... anyone find another solution? Thanks.

Try making it 2 then!

I have been looking forever for a fix to my registration page. All users when registering get the session has expred error.

This fix below worked for me. Thanks a million.
