username with "::" leads to white screen

username with "::" leads to white screen was created by magickz
One new member of my community site asked me where is his profile. When I opened the page I just saw a white page. Then I had a closer look in the user profile from the backend and found it strange that he used a format like "username::". I changed it to "username__" and the profile page in the frontend worked as expected.
