Add html on profile page? Which file?

15 years 9 months ago #65099 by Terp
I see a lot of html index files, but noe that control, say, the profile page. I assume I would have to drop some html in a php file to further customize the profile page?

I just want to put an affiliate banner and a couple of links under the list of information on the right, as seen in the screenshot. ;)

How would I go about doing this?

You could also write a plugin to achieve that ;).
If you want to do it hardcoded, than look at comprofiler.html.php, your code has to be put after line 449 ('echo $userViewTabs["cb_right"];')^^.

it's so easy: 2 simple solutions, without writing php:

1) just add a "field delimiter" field type, then parameter it:

title and description can be any valid html (subject to CB config/profile/html filtering settings), and you can turn off title display in the field's params, and make it display on "2 lines" so you get full width.

2) check the Directory on this site and extensions.joomla.org for advertisement CB plugins.

Great tutorial. I just implemented it with just a few steps.

Now I need that the User Status tab doesn't appears in the Edit profile page. Can this be possible?

I just noticed that, too. The title of the delimiter shows up in the User Status tab when you edit the profile. :(
